Officer Patrick Baldwin was killed in an automobile crash on NW 36th Street between NW 5th Avenue and NW 6th Avenue.
His patrol car jumped a curb and struck a utility pole.
Officer Baldwin had served with the Miami Police Department for 15 years. He was survived by his wife and three children. Two of his brothers also served in the police department at the time of his death.
