View all 8 ReflectionsGrandpa, you died 19 years before I was born. Your daughter, Odessa, my mom, was only 8 when you were killed. She had to sit in front row of courtroom for trial because prosecuting attorney hoped to make jury more sympathetic by seeing widow and 4 kids. Killer got 20 years then freed. Mom is 95 now and has picture of you in uniform on her wall to this day. Has told me your workout consisted of being prone on floor with 2 kids sitting each arm and doing arm lifts. I have visited all 3 monuments with your name — Waco, Austin and Ashington, DC. I love you and miss despite having never met you. Love, Anna
