Officer Taylor was shot and killed as he responded to gunshots that he heard coming from a nightclub near Thomas Circle, NW. As he ran up the stairs of the business the suspect was running out. The man shot Officer Taylor in the chest twice, killing him. The suspect them committed suicide.
